Andean Manta Tapestries

Andean Manta Tapestries

Peruvian Mantas are each individually hand woven wool in the high mountain regions of the Southern Andean Mountains by indigenous women and men. Colors born from earth dyes and many woven from vintage threads these unique pieces can be used as wall hangings, couch/chair throws, blankets, rugs, table coverings or special gifts to liven any environment.

We offer two general styles of traditional weave and ponchos that have dual properties.

The first: A blend of colorful ethnic patterns which vary slightly in size and shape. Most are rectangular and average 38in X 50in.

The second: A traditional Andean stripe pattern which come in two sizes Small and Med/Large. These also vary slightly in color and shape due to the individual weaving technique of the artisan.

Our Ponchos are made of heavy wool, naturally dyed and unique in every way.
