Forged from 100% reclaimed metals, Yanapuma is so excited to share the brilliant and current creations of husband-and-wife design team Ashley & Dara of Alkemie Jewelry. Their unique work is equal parts art and accessory. 

This luminous necklace features a 15mm hand-carved abalone moon face surrounded by tiny stars, set in a bezel made from our reclaimed metal blend of copper and zinc with zero nickel, lead, or plating. The pendant hangs from an 18k gold-filled ball chain (chain not made by us).

Abalone is one of nature’s greatest metaphors—it comes from a rough, unassuming shell, yet reveals an iridescent spectrum of breathtaking color within. It reminds us not to judge by appearances, and to honor the hidden beauty in ourselves and others. The swirling blues, greens, and violets reflect the changing tides of emotion, creativity, and intuition.

The moon holds the energy of the feminine, of cycles, reflection, and deep knowing. The stars around her offer guidance, hope, and the reminder that even in darkness, we are never without light. Together, they invite you to trust your inner rhythm and follow your own celestial path.

Handmade in Los Angeles, this design is Lead & Nickel Free. Made of 100% reclaimed metal in gold patina. The patina is made to appear as though they came out of a treasure chest!  If you wish to shine, brush with warm water and bleach-free natural cleanser. 

By creating new designs from existing materials in abundance, the mission is to translate something that would otherwise be landfill-bound into wearable art.
