Form and function meet in a simple, quality brass burner to optimize charcoal burn for ritual resin incense.

The brass screen allows for airflow around the coal for a favorable burn. The screen is removable for easy cleaning and care.

Ash from spent charcoal falls below the screen into the vessel for convenient and continuous use.

Brass gets very hot to touch from the charcoal. Use caution when handling.

It is recommended to use a ceramic bowl or other heat-proof bowl of choice to hold the brass burner for ease of use and safe handing.

DIMENSIONS: 1.25 in. (3.17 cm) Height X 3.25 in. (8.25 cm) Diameter

Suggested use:

>> Place brass burner in a Ceramic Ritual Bowl or a heatproof bowl of choice.

>> Ignite charcoal in the center of the screen. Offer resins as well as other wood and botanicals, in ritual.

LIGHTING CHARCOAL WITH A TOCH LIGHTER:Place charcoal in the center of the screen. Ignite with a torch lighter. Let charcoal stand until fully ignited*. Gently blow on the coal to ensure it is glowing entirely before offering resins to the coal.

LIGHTING CHARCOAL WITH A FLAME: Using Brass Tongs, hold the charcoal over a flame to ignite. A candle works well. Place coal on screen of the brass burner and let stand until fully ignited*. Gently blow on the coal to ensure it is glowing in entirety before offering resins to the coal.

CLEANING AND CARE: Brass, like silver, naturally tarnishes. It’s a natural process due to metal components in both metals – like copper and zinc – which oxidize when exposed to oxygen. Higher humidity environments can expedite the tarnishing process. The oils in our skin also have an effect on brass. So, the more often you touch your brass burner, the more tarnish can occur. Water can also age brass, so be mindful about submerging your burner in water for too long.

The more regular you’re cleaning and care habits are, the easier it will be to restore the luster. However, the beauty of the natural patina that develops with age and use can also be embraced as a sign of experience.

TARNISH RESTORATION: Use a cleaning cloth or microfiber cloth to clean and polish brass. Acidic ingredients like vinegar or lemon mixed with water will help restore discoloration.

RESIN RESIDUE CLEANING AND CARE:As the vessel for burning charcoal and resin, your brass burner will also likely experience residue and build up. It’s natural and somewhat unavoidable. The more regular you’re cleaning and care habits are, the easier it will be to keep your burner in more mint condition.

REMOVING RESIN RESIDUE: Rubbing alcohol can help dissolve resin residue. Pouring a bit of rubbing alcohol in the bottom of the vessel and allowing to stand for an hour will help loosen and dissolve the residue and does not harm the brass.

PRECAUTIONS: Brass Burner gets very hot to the touch when in use. Handling with caution and care. Do not leave unattended while in use or until cool to touch. Keep out of reach of children and pets, especially when in use.
